Welcome to the first SCAM Newsletter of 2007! We’ll be sending this monthly to keep you posted on what we have in store for all you loyal “Scammers”. Thirteen looks to be our lucky number, as our thirteenth annual convention looks to be our best!

1.) SCAM 2008 Details. Our lineup this year is stellar: David Roth, Charlie Frye, Kostya Kimlat, Chris Capehart, Just Alan, Danny Archer, Matt McCoy, Joey Vasquez, and more to be announced! (there’ll be seven lectures in all) Special Workshops with David Roth and others will be held on Sunday after the convention, watch for details! We’ll also be bringing back the SCAM Auction, the Dealer’s Room Midnight Madness, as well as the Youth Pizza Party, and Late Night Buffet for our many magic “night owls”.

The Saturday Night Gala Show will be back at the Township Auditorium, (you may remember this theater from the years we featured Jeff McBride or Mr. Electric) which has been all newly renovated. A Gala Show ticket is included with your registration, extra tickets are still $15.00 for adults, $10.00 for children. (http://www.thetownship.org)

David Roth is well known as the World's Greatest Coin Manipulator. His technical skill and creativity, along with his polished and charming presentation, have won him many of the top awards and honors in the field of close-up magic, including, Magic Castle's Academy of Magical Arts: Lecturer of the Year, Close-up Magician of the Year, and Visiting Magician of the Year. He has been seen on David Letterman's Late Show and has been touring with Ricky Jay's smash Broadway Show, "Ricky Jay and His 52 Assistants." As well as being one of the most sought after performers in the magic world, David's best selling books, videos and DVDs are considered bibles in coin magic.
